Absolutely – Ryder on Olive is about a 20 minute walk or less than a 9 minute bike ride from campus. Our community is conveniently located right next to Centennial Walk, making it easy to get everywhere you need to go. In addition to campus, Ryder on Olive is also less than a 5 minute walk from downtown Davis for plenty of shopping, dining, and nightlife options!

Individual leasing means that each person is only responsible for their portion of the common areas and their bedroom. If your roommate ends up not coming back for the next Quarter, you’re not responsible for their payment.

Rental installment refers to the contract total price, divided into different payments depending on which option you choose: 1 installment, 2 installments, or 12 installments. If you choose to pay in 12 installments, your first installment will be due September 1st and your last installment is due August 1st unless you’ve elected to renew at Ryder on Olive. Please call our leasing office to discuss other installment options and due dates.

Your apartment comes fully equipped with an in-unit washer & dryer, access to 24-hour emergency maintenance, and full access to Ryder on Olive’s community amenities and onsite team. Internet, water, sewer, trash, and recycling are provided through a separate $55/month utilities package billed in addition to your monthly installment.

During the application process, you’ll fill out a roommate profile questionnaire which allows us to match you with roommates who have similar interests. Additionally, we’ve partnered with RoomSync, an app allowing you to create a profile so you can swipe through potential roommates.

We accept payment via check, money order, or though the online portal.

Yes, Ryder on Olive is not only pet friendly, but Ryder on Olive also has an onsite dog park and pet spa! Call the office for more details on our pet policy.

Ryder on Olive comes fully equipped with brand new energy efficient stainless steel appliances including an over-sized refrigerator, microwave, oven/stove, dishwasher, and washer & dryer. In the living room there will be a full length sectional couch, sofa chair, coffee table, entertainment stand, and a 55 inch TV. Each private bedroom will include a full sized bed, stackable dressers, computer desk, and a computer chair and access to a private bathroom. Each shared bedroom will include the same furniture, but with a private double vanity in the bedroom.

Mail is delivered directly to your apartment mailbox located onsite at Ryder on Olive. Packages are either placed in resident mailboxes or securely held at the front desk for pickup. Once your package arrives, our team will notify you via text, email, or phone call.

A guarantor is a 3rd party signer who can ensure your payments will be made in a timely manner. If you don’t have a guarantor, we have alternative options to assist you with having your application approved such as prepaying your last 2 installments upfront or qualifying through Leap or HomeBody Guaranty for an additional payment.

International students will need to provide a copy of their student visa in the application. In lieu of the guarantor requirements, you may opt to prepay your last 2 installments of the lease prior to move-in.

Yes – we can accommodate after-hours move-ins! We just ask that you coordinate with our leasing team in advance so we can make sure everything is set up and ready or you. If you’re arriving late at night, we also offer a bedding package you can purchase ahead of time. That way, your bedding is ready for you when you arrive – no late-night Target runs required.

Ryder on Olive’s move-in date is September 17th so you have plenty of time to settle in before the fall quarter begins at UCDavis. The lease term will end on August 31st, 2027.
